What is Tillbord?

Its a web-based platform where food producers can set up their shops to be displayed and marketed to their local community. And where users easily can search and browse to find great food made locally.

Who is it for?

Tillbord is mainly focused on two parts.

The consumer: A user who is looking for good food produced locally. This user will have an easily navigated and inspiring website where they can search for food by producers in their area. They can browse shops, products, leave feedback and rate producers for other users to see etc.

The producer: A producer might be a farmer, local microbrewery, a fisherman or someone just really passionate about tomatoes and runs a small garden at home. Size does not matter. In fact, we think that a world with more small, local, food producers would benefit everybody greatly. Environmentally, ecologically, nutrisionwise and economically. It will create opportunities for new jobs and extra income. On our platform producers get the tools for marketing their business both online and offline, helping them build their brand and grow their business.

How does it work?

In a nutshell. As producer, you set up one or more shops were you tell about yourself and display your products. You mark where your shop is located and optionally add where your products can be bought if not directly from your shops location. You might grow tomatoes at home but you sell them at a city market. A user can then buy them directly from your marked shop or you can arrange a deliver for the user.

As a user, you can search for food on Tillbord by geolocation, a pre-set location, categories, ratings, types etc. and browse producers shops for products, evaluate their ratings and comments to find a really great local product.
